Ribs Like the Teeth of a Comb
The Brush Comb Planter is a straight-sided indoor planter wrapped in thick rounded ribs running the full height of the wall, which is where the name comes from.
Wide Ribs, Not Fine Ones
The ribbing is deliberately heavy. Each rib is rounded and broad enough to catch a highlight down its length, with a shadow in the channel beside it, so the surface reads as soft columns rather than fine pinstripes. A smooth band finishes the rim and the ribs stop square at the base. Under a satin glaze, a ceramic indoor planter like this stays visible behind a full plant instead of vanishing under the leaves.
Six Saturated Colors
Denim is a dusty mid blue, Hibiscus runs coral pink, Mustard a deep warm yellow, Space Grey a soft lilac grey, and Matte Black and Matte White cover the neutrals. These are confident colors rather than muted ones. Each handmade ceramic planter is glazed individually, so depth of color varies between pots, and we can send photos before shipping.
One Pot or a Set of Four
Buy a single pot, or take the Brush Comb planter set of four, which costs slightly less and makes more sense for a plant shelf, an office, or mixing colors across a room. Four of one color in a row reads architectural. Four different colors reads collected.
Where It Works
It is generous for furniture, so treat it as a small indoor planter that sits on a surface rather than the floor: a sideboard, a wide windowsill, a plant stand, a desk with room to spare. As a decorative indoor planter it suits loose arching foliage, since the vertical ribs give soft leaves something to push against. A maidenhair fern, a dracaena, or a bird's nest fern all work. Compare it with the finer-ribbed Fluted Cylinder Planter, or browse the rest of our drop-in planters.

How do I water a plant in a pot like this?
How do I water a plant in a pot like this?
Keep the plant in its nursery liner and lift it out to water at the sink. Let it drain before setting it back. The glaze stays clean and nothing pools against the base.
What size plant fits?
What size plant fits?
Anything in a standard nursery pot that would normally sit on a table. The opening takes a full root ball with room at the edge, so an indoor plant pot this size suits a mature houseplant rather than a cutting.
Does the ribbed surface collect dust?
Does the ribbed surface collect dust?
A little settles in the channels, as on any textured surface. A dry cloth or soft brush clears it in a minute, and the satin glaze wipes clean if anything splashes.
Should I buy matching colors or mix them?
Should I buy matching colors or mix them?
Match if the pots will sit in a line where the repetition is the point. Mix if they are spread around a room, since a shared shape ties them together even when the colors do not.
