The faded whitewash is baked right into the clay during the high-heat kiln process. While it looks dry and powdery like an antique artifact, it is completely sealed and won't rub off on your clothes or stain your tables.

The angled middle is carefully strengthened during the molding process. The high-heat baking makes the pot very dense and tough, so the sharp points and angles are just as strong as a normal round pot.
